Olmsted Elementary in Urbandale, Iowa serves a diverse group of 350 students in preschool through fifth grade.
The Olmsted Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is holding a Fun Run on May 11, 2018 which is major fundraiser for our school, and we need your support!
The Fun Run is an exciting day for Olmsted students and families! Through generous donations from businesses like yours, students will participate in a sponsored event where they’ll receive a race bag with a T-shirt, race bib, and goodies from our sponsors. Students of all abilities will have an opportunity to participate in this fun event that promotes physical fitness, and earn money for our school by obtaining pledges from family and friends.
The Olmsted PTO works hard to provide a great school experience for our children. We do this by providing supplemental learning opportunities such as funding field trips, arts education and additional educational materials. We assist in meeting school needs by contributing to purchases including technology, supplies and playground equipment. We fund the running program, coordinate book fairs, plan numerous family events and classroom parties, and show appreciation to Olmsted staff by hosting meals in their honor. All this takes time and energy from our volunteers, fundraising efforts by our families, and contributions from our local business partners!
